House Rules

 Prize Information:

  • The Grand Prize Jackpot for the series beginning October 4th, 2019 will be seeded with $3,000, provided by the Caisse Community Centre. The winning ticket holder who selects the Ace of Spades will win the entire $3,000 as well as 40% of all ticket sales.
  • Additional One-Time Prizes for the series beginning October 4th, 2019 only in lieu of the Ace of Spades being selected will be:  Ace of Clubs selected will win $1,000, Ace of Hearts selected will win $1,00 and Ace of Diamonds selected will win $1,000.
  • 10% of ticket sales from each event will be awarded to the winning ticket holder, if they do not select the Ace of Spades. At the final event (when the Ace of Spades is chosen), this 10% will be used as a seed for the next series. Should no further series take place, this amount will be retained by the organization. 40% of all ticket sales will accumulate into the grand prize jackpot, which will be awarded to the individual who selects the Ace of Spades. 50% of all ticket sales will be retained by the Caisse Community Centre.
  • The winning ticket holder must present their ticket within 10 minutes of the draw. The winning ticket holder that selects the Ace of Spades will win the entire accumulated grand prize jackpot and you must be present to win.

Ticket Information:

  • Ticket cost: $2 each
  • 50,000 tickets will be available for purchase each event.
  • Individuals may purchase up to $400 worth of tickets (200) per transaction. After an individual has purchased the maximum amount, they must proceed to the end of the sales line in order to purchase more.

Event Information:

  • Events will take place every Friday at the Caisse Community Centre in La Salle.
  • Tickets will be on sale every Friday from 5:30pm to 7:45pm. (must be in line prior to 7:45pm)
  • The draw will take place at 8:00pm at each event.
  • Each series will begin with a brand new deck of 52 cards.

Draw Information:

  • Card being chased: ACE OF SPADES
  • A draw will occur from all entries purchases that night.
  • The winning ticket number will be called three times during the 10 minute time period.
  • If the winning ticket holder does not come forward within 10 minutes, another draw will take place. This process will continue until there is a valid winning ticket holder.
  • As cards are selected, they are permanently removed from play, increasing the odds of choosing the correct card as weeks pass. Chosen cards are signed and displayed on a bulletin board.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older in order to participate.

All Other Information:

  • The final event for each series (game) will be the event at which the Ace of Spades is chosen.
  • Once the series is over, a new series with a new deck of cards will begin at the next scheduled event.
  • If you choose to leave the Caisse Community Centre premises after purchasing tickets you may be refused re-entry.
  • Building capacity is 711 people. If we reach this capacity, no further entry will be permitted and only the people already in the Centre will be able to purchase tickets.
  • Cards left in play will be secured in a locked cabinet between events. Dee Romijn, Caisse Community Centre Facility Manager will have access to these cards. In unforeseen circumstances, one Executive Member of the Caisse Community Centre Board of Directors or Chase the Ace subcommittee will also have access to this secure location.
  • The game may be paused for certain dates when needed.  Paused dates will be advertised in advance.
  • Bonus prizes will not be deducted from the accumulator.
  • All remaining cards in the deck must be placed face-up prior to each draw and in view of the participants.  Cards must not overlap one another.
  • All remaining cards must be shuffled and placed face-down with no cards overlapping another, before the participant chooses their card.  The cards cannot be cut or handled by the player at any time.
  • The participant will place their winning ticket (or a token) on the card they would like to select.
  • The selected card must be revealed to all in attendance.
  • Once the accumulator is won a new series will begin at the following event with a new deck of cards.
  • Bent or marked cards will be replaced by a new, identical card; or the entire deck will be replaced with previously chosen cards removed.
